Rob Loebell was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University with a BFA in Sculpture and a Masters degree from Temple University.
He has lived in Connecticut since 1985. Loebell is an artist member of the New York Sculptors Guild, Canton CT Artist Guild, and The Silvermine Guild of Artists. He is an elected artist of The Mystic Museum and West Hartford Art League. He has had exhibits throughout New England, as well as in Philadelphia and New York. His work has been exhibited at the United Nations; the Mystic Art Museum; Governors Island and Plaxall Gallery in New York. He has received grants from the Greater Hartford Arts Council, and has won awards from shows such as Art of the Northeast and Black and White at the Mystic Art Museum.
