Marie Riccio – Biography

Marie Riccio grew up in New York and received a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MFA in painting from the University of Pennsylvania. Exhibitions of her work include The Painting Center and First Street Gallery in New York, West gallery at the NIH in MD, and she was selected to participate in Women Artists of the DMV, exhibiting at Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery, DC. Marie has shown throughout the Washington, DC area including several exhibitions at TAG/The Artists Gallery in MD.

She has been a featured interview on Larry Groff’s blog Painting Perceptions and in the Frederick News Post and has been spotlighted in Frederick Magazine several times. She has also been interviewed on the podcast Creative Contemplation. Her curatorial projects include still life exhibits at the Washington Studio School, DC and the VisArts Kaplan Gallery, MD.
